With the recent scare of the Corona Virus there has been so many great articles posted with daily schedules and ideas of what to do with your kids while they are at home. Well, if you are anything like me, you also have work to get done while the precious babes are home calling out, “Mom, Mom, Mom….” You know exactly what I’m talking about.
Juggling school work with Mom’s work
The big question is… How do we (parents) get our work done from home, get the kids to do their school work, and have a little fun while taking advantage of time home with them. Well, I’ve read all the articles, took note of all the companies offering free virtual field trips and lesson plans, and made a list of what each of my 3 kids teachers sent home and here is what I came up with:
I WANT MY KIDS TO WORK TOGETHER, BE BUILT UP EMOTIONALLY AS WELL AS EDUCATIONALLY, BE CHALLENGED AND HAVE FUN….ALL WHILE GETTING MY WORK DONE AROUND THE HOUSE!
Scheduling our Learning and Fun!
I love all the schedules that are being posted on Social Media and on the web. I reviewed many and created my own based on what I wanted to achieve for the day. The goal is to get it all in while having fun moments we wouldn’t normally have together (moments for great conversations, playing games, and sharing experiences)! Check out what I came up with! You are welcome to it! Just click here to grab it!
Day 1: Working and Learning Together
I wanted my kids to have some fun things to do each day that would allow them to work together and learn from each other. So each day I scheduled in a morning walk, a time for devotions, academics, boardgames, creative projects, and a time to read to each other. This went well today! I love having time together for fun rather than the daily race to get things done!
Today’s Favorite Activity… Outdoor ABC Scavenger Hunt
I attached the ABC Scavenger Hunt for you to print and enjoy with your own kids while you have them home with you. Your students at school will also love this activity when school is back in session. Win/win!!! Use it at home and school! Grab your copy here to enjoy or go to my Freebies Page!
I’d love to hear how your kids liked the Scavenger Hunt! I hope they like it as much as mine did! Good luck learning along side of your kids for the next 3 weeks! Hopefully you are able to conquer it all and still get your own work done!
