Author Visits
When Erin Mengeu visited Siebert Elementary in April. She spent a full day visiting classrooms (K-5). She shared her newest children’s book, Growth Mindset: It’s as easy as ABC! Erin’s passion for growth mindset had our students engaged in learning about what it means to have a growth mindset and enjoyed learning about what the writing process is like when you are an author. -Siebert Elementary Teacher/MI
My 3rd graders were surprised to find out their mystery reader was an actual author! Erin Mengeu read her book to the class and shared the ups and downs of the writing process. It takes a growth mindset to work through the writing process! The students were able to get their very own signed copy too! -Woodcrest Elementary Teacher -Midland, MI
We celebrated our last Writer’s Workshop publishing party with a visit from Author and Educator, Erin Mengeu. She visited Lake Primary virtually to share the writing process, read to the class, and celebrate being an author with our very own kindergarten authors.
