It’s summer time! This means fun in the sun! We found the best beach not far from our house here in Michigan and we are ready for fun in the sun! Our family is so happy when we are on the beach!
I thought I’d include some things that we consider “Must Haves for beaching”!
Sunscreen
Whether adult of child, we should all wear sunscreen. It’s so important to protect our skin. Our favorite sunscreen is Sun Bum! It smells so good and goes on smooth! For the kids we love Banana Boat Simply Protect Kids! It’s not too greasy and works great! You can’t beat the price…and we go through tons of sunscreen
Beach Tip: Put on your sunscreen before you get to the beach! It gives it time to set into your skin and the sand doesn’t stick to you as badly!
Beach Books to Read
This is the best kept beach secret! Ok, well, it may not be that much of a secret, but I just learned it a couple of years ago! Brushing baby powder on your skin will take off ALL OF THE SAND!!! That’s right! No more sand in your car when you take baby powder with you to the beach! You simply pour some in your hand and wipe it over your sandy skin! The sand will come right off! It works better if you are dry!
Yeti
Yeti cooler, Yeti coozie, Yeti cup, Yeti everything!!!! These products seriously keep you drink cold ALL day! We cannot get enough of Yeti!! These products have become a favorite for many reason, but the beach is my favorite place to take my Yeti!
Beach Wear
Ok moms, I know you want to look great and feel even better! Click here to see some stylish women’s swimwear and my very favorite cover up! I don’t know about you, but I want to play in the sand with my kids, catch a wave, and not feel like my girls are falling out of my suit! Right! Functional and fashionable!
A great beach hat is also something that is both functional and fashionable! Keep the sun out of your face while you are laying in the sun reading your beach book!
Our sun prefers to wear a board shirt. This way he doesn’t need to apply and reapply sunscreen. He isn’t really picky but his favorite are the board shirts by Salt Life. He says they dry faster than the others!
GoPro
Ok, so for years my husband has been wanting to get a GoPro! We finally bought one and the fun we had at the beach was well worth it! We were able to wear it in the water and take video of the kids catching a wave. Each evening, the kids couldn’t wait to see their footage of boogie boarding and catching waves. The quality is amazing and you do not have to worry if you have the GoPro floating handgrip! This is so much fun! You won’t regret this great purchase! GoPro is also great for catching your kids sports on video and even family photos!
